I lived the life of a victim when I was still living in the world...

The trust that something from our room and silence flows outward into the surrounding world and helps those who are still wandering reconciles me with the fact that I have been called into this extraordinary solitude preferentially – before so many people who would have been more deserving. You cannot imagine how deeply I am ashamed every time someone speaks of our “life of a victim.” I lived a life of a victim when I still lived in the world…
