The General Council of the Carmelite Order is organizing a weekend seminar in Rome on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Albert of Jerusalem, from October 10 to 12, 2014.
In addition to the General Superior of the Order, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., the General Superior of the Discalced Carmelites, Fr. Saverio Cannistrà OCD, will also participate. The speakers will include Sr. Anastasia di Gerusalemme, O.Carm., Fr. Enzo Mosca, O.Carm. (Naples), Fr. Patrick Mullins, O.Carm., Fr. Bruno Secondin, O.Carm., and Fr. Kees Waaijman, O.Carm. The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Fouad Twal, will also speak at the seminar and, together with Fathers Fernando and Saverio, will celebrate the Holy Mass on Sunday, October 12 at 8 a.m. at the Carmelite Church of Santa Maria in Traspontina in Rome.
The seminar will be conducted in Italian and English. Registration for the seminar is required, but the Sunday Mass is accessible to all without registration.
