The soul no longer stops at inclinations and feelings.

When the soul can believe in this immense love that surpasses it, we can say what is said about Moses: "He was unwavering in his faith, as if he saw the Invisible." The soul no longer stops at affections and feelings; it cares little whether it feels God or not; it cares little whether He grants it joy or suffering: it believes in His love. The more it is tested, the more its faith grows; we can say that it overcomes all obstacles to rest in the bosom of infinite Love, which can only perform acts of love. To this soul, completely awake in faith, the voice of the Master can say in a confidential secret the word He once said to Mary Magdalene: "Go in peace, your faith has saved you."
