Prayer to Our Lady, Mother of Hope

Mary, kind Lady, Patroness of Carmel,
you are the throne of wisdom and the joy of God's people.
Through the angelic message, God called you on a journey of faith,
which led to Calvary, to Easter, and to Pentecost.
We, the people of Europe, turn to you with the intention
of walking together in faith, hope, and love.
You care for each of us as a mother
and watch over us with great diligence on our shared journey.
Help us to reflect on the living Word of God
and to respond to it with generous love.
Guide us to Christ, your Son, true wisdom of God,
so that today His glory may be revealed as it once was at the wedding at Cana in Galilee.
You are close to us as our sister,
you are with us in moments of uncertainty and fear.
At Calvary, you stood by the cross of your Son;
be with each of us when in this complex world
we seek true wisdom.
Be with us as we gather in prayer through the power of the Spirit.
Help us to walk towards the future without fear and anxiety,
as we follow Jesus on the path of Christian hope.
Obtain for us, pilgrims in life,
true light, strength, and wisdom that come from God,
through Christ, your Son and our Lord. Amen.
