Joy is the first gift from God, a fundamental right of the human being as a creature. The simple joy of being here, out of nothingness, just being, means sharing in the joy experienced by the three divine persons at the moment of creation when they jointly released me into life. My entire life is rooted in this divine joy; it has its origin in it.
How much we miss this fundamental joy! Who among us can truly rejoice in the simple fact that we can breathe, see, feel, listen, walk, dance, run, work, and above all think, imagine, create, reflect – and beyond all this: pray, love, love, love…
