Oh my God, Trinity whom I adore, help me to forget completely about myself, so that I may settle in You, motionless and peaceful, as if my soul were already in eternity. May nothing disturb my peace or cause me to depart from You, oh my Unchangeable One, but may each minute carry me deeper into the depths of Your Mystery.
Calm my soul, make in it Your heaven, Your beloved dwelling place and the spot of Your rest. May I never leave You alone there, but may I be there entirely, fully awake in my faith, wholly in adoration, completely devoted to Your creative action.
Oh my beloved Christ, crucified out of love, I would like to be the bride of Your heart, I would like to envelop You with glory, I would like to love You... even to death! However, I feel my helplessness and thus I ask You to “clothe me in Yourself”, to identify my soul with all the movements of Your soul, to immerse me, to flood me, to replace me with Yourself, so that my life may be nothing but the radiance of Your Life. Come into me as the One who bows down, as the Peacemaker and as the Savior.
Oh eternal Word, Word of my God, I want to spend my life listening to You, I want to become completely teachable, so that I may learn everything from You. Then through all the nights, all the emptiness, all the helplessness, I want to be always focused on You and dwell in Your great light; oh my beloved Star, enchant me, so that I may never again depart from Your radiance.
Oh consuming Fire, Spirit of love, “descend upon me”, so that in my soul the Word may be embodied: that I may be the humanity in which He restores all His Mystery.
And You, oh Father, bend down to Your poor little creature, “cover it with Your shadow”, see in it only the “Beloved, in whom You have placed all Your delight”.
Oh my Three, my Everything, my Bliss, infinite Solitude, Infinity, in which I am lost, I surrender to You as prey. Bury Yourself in me, so that I may bury myself in You in expectation that I will see the abyss of Your greatness in Your light.
