There are times when all of life's difficulties weigh on us at once. And then there appears one more, sometimes completely minor, that adds to the others, and the vessel overflows. But God is still here, perhaps even closer to us when He feels that we are weak. And then it is enough for the soul to just look and meet Him in the peace of His eternal silence, where we find a whole spring of tenderness for ourselves. These moments are not lost to heaven.
