I wonder how you can hide from me for so long.

Living Host, hidden Jesus, You see the state of my soul. I cannot, on my own, utter Your holy name. I cannot draw the fire of love from my heart, but I kneel at Your feet and direct the gaze of my soul – the gaze of fidelity – upon the blessed sacrament. You are still the same, although a change has taken place in my soul. I hope that the moment will come when You reveal Your face and Your child will see Your sweet countenance again. Jesus, I marvel at You, that You can hide from me for so long, how You can withhold that immense love You have for me. In the dwelling of my heart, I listen and wait for Your coming, the only Treasure of my heart.
