Kindness must not degenerate into weakness.

Goodness must not degenerate into weakness. When we justly admonish someone, we must stand firm on it, without allowing ourselves to be softened or tormented by the fact that we have caused pain to another and see how they suffer and cry. Running after the person we have grieved in this way and comforting them would rather harm than benefit them.
