Mary, Queen and Mother of Carmel,
I come today to consecrate myself to you,
because my whole life is but a small expression of gratitude
for the many graces and blessings,
that I have received from God through your hands.
With love you look upon those who are clothed in your scapular,
and so I ask you: strengthen my weakness with your power,
enlighten the darkness of my mind with your wisdom
and increase in me faith, hope, and love,
so that I may serve you humbly and faithfully each day.
May the scapular continually turn your merciful eyes upon me,
may it be a guarantee of your special protection in daily struggles,
that I may be faithful to your Son and to you.
May it turn me away from all sinful life
and constantly remind me of the duty
to look up to you and to be clothed in your virtues.
From now on I will strive to live closely united with your spirit,
to offer everything to Jesus through you,
and to make my life a reflection of your humility, love,
patience, meekness, and spirit of prayer.
Dearest Mother,
support me with your unfailing love,
that I, an unworthy sinner,
may one day exchange your scapular
for a heavenly wedding garment
and dwell with you and the Carmelite saints
in the kingdom of your Son.
Amen.
