Since the postulant has been here in the house, I often have to think about our religious youth, about the remarkable journey to Mount Carmel. Each of these journeys is remarkably guided. And the history of souls in Carmel is even more remarkable. They are hidden deep in the Divine Heart. What sometimes seems to us that we do not understand on our journey remains only a fleeting glimpse of what is God's mystery until it reveals itself to us. The hope that everything will be clarified for us in the future is my joy. Faith in the mystery of the history of souls must strengthen us, even when what we see in ourselves and in others could take away our courage.
Today is the feast of Saint Simon Stock. In the morning at Holy Mass, we sang to him and then the May song Flos Carmeli. There are so many promises in it!
