I don't know what God still intends for me. I am becoming happier and happier. The whole world suffers. And I, who deserve the severest reprimand, constantly experience such great joys that I can barely endure them.
I would like to ask God for a portion of Your suffering, but I know my weakness, it is so great that if He were to leave me to myself for just a moment, I would be the most miserable person among all mortals. However, I do not know how He could leave me to myself, for faith gives me a strong, palpable conviction and awareness that He will never abandon us if we do not first abandon Him. Let us guard against abandoning Him! Let us remain always in Him. We want to live with Him and die with Him. May this be Your prayer for me, and I pray for You in the same way.
