Sister Martha of Jesus
J M. J T.
The small bride of Jesus must not be sad, for otherwise Jesus would be as well. She must continually sing the hymn of love in her heart. She must forget her small pains in order to comfort her groom in his great pains.
Beloved sister, do not be a sad little girl when you experience that others do not understand you, that they judge you falsely, that they forget about you, but outsmart them all and try to act like everyone else, or rather, treat yourself as they treat you, namely to forget everything that is not Jesus, forget about YOURSELF out of love for him!... Beloved little sister, do not say that it is difficult. That I speak this way is because of you – you told me that you truly love Jesus, and for a soul that loves, nothing seems impossible...1
Believe me, your letter was very welcome to me!...
