These three certainties...

So, I am eighty-one years old. As one ages, a sense of duty gradually arises within. At first, you resist because you feel it is arrogance, but then a voice echoes within you with increasing urgency: "Before you leave us, tell us what you know."
If I were to ignore this call today, I would feel like I am burying a talent of one human life. It is not about the value of my person, but about what I have understood through the life circumstances that have led me here and there, often only after I relinquished my stubborn resistance.
To say what I know… As soon as I start, I realize that there are really only a few certainties. There are three: and it is true that eternal God is love; and it is true that we are loved; and it is true that we are free. May I succeed in communicating these three certainties to others.
