I have such a high opinion of heaven that I sometimes ask myself how God will surprise me after my death. My hope is so great and it is such a source of joy for me, not a feeling, but rather a faith, that I will need some things beyond all imagination to be fully satisfied. Rather than being disappointed, I would prefer to keep this eternal hope.
However, I think: even if I am not surprised enough, I will pretend to be surprised in order to make God happy. No fear of showing him my disappointment; I will do it so well that he will notice nothing. Besides, I always arrange things so that I am happy. To make that happen, I have my little practices that you know and that are reliable. And then, just seeing that the good God is happy is enough for my happiness.
