XXII. It seems to me that the revelation and teaching or guidance of the loving Mother and St. Joseph is no longer given to me in the same way. I do not perceive them as I used to, but rather in a more spiritual and detached manner. They are not taken from me in essence, but as I am convinced, I experience them in a more noble way, more distant from the senses, because they have already brought me to the goal for which this revelation occurred. For by their teaching and pleasing influence, they have made me capable, and prepared me, or rather led me to a closer and nobler union of love with my Divine Beloved, and have wounded my heart more with holy love for Him. They have also made me much more intimate with my Beloved and have revealed more of His lovely nature, essence, and spirit than ever before.
For I feel within, indeed in my whole being, such a divine transformation that I cannot express it. This is a sufficient proof that in what happened to me on the feast of St. Joseph, there was no deceit or deception. Since then, the foundation (fundus) of my soul has been almost entirely filled and penetrated with such excellent and perfect virtues, especially kindness, generosity, lovely nature, love, and mercy. Thus, I find that I wholeheartedly forgive my enemies or those who do me wrong, feel compassion for them, show them kindness and generosity, do not remember the evils and injustices I have suffered, and ask God to graciously forgive them, and likewise in other matters.
