IX. From the aforementioned and similar clear insights and illuminations that my soul has received, there grows ever more and more a great seriousness, respect, reverence, and love for the beloved Mother with greater steadfastness, simplicity, and purity. My soul seems to be inseparably connected to her, and I feel my heart burning like the fire of love for her, and this fire of love often exerts a kind of violence and lifts the soul as if by force in some loving immersion. For through some new revelation of the admirable mysteries that God has placed within her, or the love that God has for her, etc., my soul is drawn in individual instances to deep and lofty admiration; I gaze upon her with an inflamed soul and remain as if consumed, for reason is unable and insufficient to grasp those admirable things presented and revealed to it in this venerable and simultaneously beloved Mother.
But in doing so, love is in no way satisfied and wells up like from the depths of the heart, crying out in admiration and seeking some names by which I might somewhat express and proclaim the greatness, dignity, and nobility of this my sweetest Mother, or also praise her, exalt her, and lift her up. Therefore, here love speaks great and admirable things, so that it may praise, exalt, and lift up the one it loves so much, just as a mad lover does who does not know what to think, create, or invent to praise his beloved.
I received yet another ray of divine light, by which my beloved made known to me that God takes greater pleasure and delight in the beloved Mother and thus has a greater love for her alone than for all the saints combined.
